Film Screening of Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety

The Council on Recovery, along with the Center for School Behavioral Health at Mental Health America of Greater Houston, Advocates of Healthy Minds, Fusion Academy and the Peace of Mind Foundation will be hosting a screening of the documentary film, Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety on Thursday, April 12 from 6-8pm at The Council on Recovery (303 Jackson Hill Street, 77007). A panel discussion will follow the film screening.
The film hopes to decrease the stigma in relation to and increase the conversation about anxiety disorders and treatment. Children, adolescents and adults, including Gold Medalist Michael Phelps, are interviewed and provided candid information about their experience with anxiety. In addition, mental health professionals provide advice and and information about treatment.
