Summer Skills Groups
Join us for one week of anxiety busting and "monster" mashing as children learn to identify their worries, verbalize uncomfortable emotions, challenge and talk back to their worry monsters, and fill up their tool kit with brave, new positive coping skills!
When: July 16-20, 2018
We will meet as a small group Mondays - Thursday. On Friday July 20th, individual sessions will be held with each child and their parent(s).
Join us for two weeks this summer as children learn new ways to think about and cope with their worries, fears, and anxiety. Children will learn the basics of what anxiety is and where it comes from. Children will identify anxiety provoking situations and thoughts and will use relaxation, mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and acceptance techniques to cope with their fears.
When: July 9-19, 2018
We will meet as a small group Mondays - Thursday. On Friday July 13, individual sessions will be scheduled with each child and their parent(s).
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques, the gold-star, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, will be taught in both sessions.
